Only Upsetting 5 Percent?

Analyst Kevin Burden from ABI Research:
“Verizon has to do something,” Burden said. “Those 5 percent can really wreak havoc with the network. They are only upsetting 5 percent of their customers, which is really what it comes down to.”
I’m sorry Kevin Burden, but you couldn’t be more wrong.
What customers see is a “potential” for any one of them to be affected by it, regardless of their absolute usage. For instance, if every customer only used 2GB of data a month (however unlikely that might actually be), who would be considered the top 5 percent? Anybody, that’s who.
